Documented Uses

• Dyeing wool directly, nylon from a formic acid bath, silk from an acetic acid, formic acid or sulfuric acid bath and chromed leather. The barium lake is used in paper coatings and printing inks.
• In the past, light green SF was primarily used in food and drugs for coloring products such as gelatin desserts, maraschino cherries, ice creams and sherbets, sweets and confections, bakery product and cereals, and gelatin capsules for pharmaceutical preparations; however it is no longer believed to be used in these applications.
